These are a direct replacement for the original steel retainers on the:
Kawasaki ZZR 1400
Kawasaki ZX14 (2006-2011)
Kawasaki ZX14-R (2012+)
Kawasaki GTR 1400
 
The original steel retainers weight 12.0g (extremely heavy) and the ABUSO titanium retainers weight XXg.
 
These retainers have a smaller profile/height (1,5mm shorter) to allow for more valve lift without contact with the oil seal and without requiring valve guide modifications.
 
Using lightweight titanium retainers allows for more aggressive camshaft profiles (lift and duration) without losing control of the valve and increased rpm limits - a must for any performance / race engine.
